Please enter the Member Number on your card and the temporary password that was sent to you in your welcome letter.  Once you're logged in you'll need to change your password - a good opportunity to choose something you'll remember easily. Phone us on 0800-KNOW-HOW during business hours if you need assistance.

I'VE FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD. NOW WHAT?

You can ask for a new temporary password to be sent to your email address on record by clicking on the link underneath the Member Login. If you've not already given us an email address, you will need to call us on 0800-KNOW-HOW to update your email address first.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIY, DIY PLUS AND DIY PRO?

The Know How Card has three levels of membership, based on how much you've spent* at PlaceMakers in the previous 12 months:

 

  • - DIY is the standard card membership.
  • - DIY Plus is for those members who have spent $500* or more in a 12 month period - and have opted to receive emails from the Know How Card programme.
  • - DIY Pro is for those members who have spent $2,000* or more in 12 month period - and have opted to receive emails from the Know How Card programme.

DO I NEED A NEW CARD IF I BECOME A DIY PLUS OR DIY PRO MEMBER?

No, there's absolutely no need for a new card. Just present your existing Know How Card at PlaceMakers and you'll automatically receive all the benefits associated with your membership level.

I NEED TO REPLACE MY KNOW HOW CARD. HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT?

Don't panic, these things happen. To get a replacement Know How Card, you can either order one online (you'll need to be logged in) or give us a call on 0800-KNOW-HOW (566 946) during business hours, and we'll get a new card sent right out to you.

MY TRANSACTION SUMMARY DOESN'T LIST ALL MY TRANSACTIONS. WHY IS SOMETHING MISSING?

Transactions can take up to 48 hours to appear on the website. If after this period you are still missing a transaction, please phone us on 0800-KNOW-HOW during business hours or email knowhowcard@placemakers.co.nz.

If you would like to close your Know How Card account, please phone us on 0800-KNOW-HOW during business hours or email knowhowcard@placemakers.co.nz and tell us your card number and your reason for wanting to close your account.
